We recently did a logo for a burger and fries place and the owner asked for blues, greens and other cool colors in his custom logo design. He had heard these colors were calming, which is true…but we gave him data showing that blue and green are the most unappetizing colors for humans. He would not be swayed until he was shown this example of McDonald’s in blue and green, and asked if he still wanted a hamburger. He no longer wanted a burger, and he thought of frozen beef patties and congealed grease upon glancing at this. In the end he did chose a red and yellow/orange theme – though we supplied him with his logos in blue and green as well for comparison. Just a little reminder to give your logo’s color scheme a bit of thought, and keep it in your industries acceptable palette. We do try to look out for our customers here.
